Our Sail Canada certified instructors run weekly courses during July & August for young people aged 8-18 who wish to learn the ins and outs of sailing, safety & seamanship in our fleet of Laser Picos and Club 420s. Our instructors are all Sail Canada trained and registered. We follow the national awards program which makes learning to sail both fun and exciting. If you are over 18 years old try our Introduction to Sailing Courses for adults in our Minuet keelboat on Wednesday afternoons or evenings. Call or email for more information and to register. If you have any questions or need advice, call us at (226) 668 2944 (during the summer months) or e-mail us at sailgeorgianbay@gmail.com. There is also more information including a Parents and Students handbook on our website at http://www.sailgeorgianbay.ca. Class sizes are limited, so please register early. PAY BY E-TRANSFER, CASH, or CHEQUE. If you wish to pay by methods other than credit card you may continue with registration here and send in the payment separately. Please note that confirmation of space will not be made until payment is received. When using e-transfer please select "Pay later, with cash". Send e-transfers to sailgeorgianbay@gmail.com. Refund policy: If you must cancel, we can issue a refund only if we are given notice up to 7 days before the start of each course. A $50 administration fee will be deducted. No refunds will be made for poor weather conditions as an alternate land program is offered.
PLEASE READ CAREFULLY!!
In 2021, SAIL GEORGIAN BAY offers CANSail instructions levels 2-3-4-5-6 for sailors aged 8-18. Unless the Covid-19 situation changes and social distancing is no longer required, sailors must have their CANsail 1 as a prerequisite to participate in our program this year. Sailors will sail single-handed and will be given their own boat (Laser Pico) for the duration of the week.
An exception to share a boat can be made for sailors from the same household but they will still need CanSail1. In that case, please contact us!
Please check with us if the sailor has CanSail 1 before registering. The registration program deducts a percentage for refunds.
